I actually did make an argument as to why some of the criticism is unwarranted, specifically those assuming that Montoni’s would be a failure under Pete and Mindy’s ownership. I enjoyed Funky Winkerbean, so I like seeing some of those familiar faces and places brought into Crankshaft simple as that. It’s a comic strip, I don’t take it too seriously. I’ve lost interest in other comic strips for various reasons in the past, so I just unfollow them.
I think it’s hilarious how many people come here to complain about a comic strip that nobody is making them read. Also that they don’t seem to realize that it IS a comic strip, and that the writers will determine whether Pete and Mindy will be successful. It seems to me that the writers just want to integrate a familiar element from Funky as they continue to integrate the two comics. I personally enjoy the crossover.
The Infinite is a very cool VR experience of touring the International Space Station, inside and out. It was filmed on the space station, complete with astronauts floating in to explain the various modules. Worth the ticket price if it comes to your city.
It was going to be called the 901, but Saab had the 90x designation trademarked already. Worked out okay for Porsche!
