As someone who is lysdexic, I’m laughing out loud at this.
The Germans discovered that fermented cabbage – or sauerkraut – also prevented scurvy, hence them being called “Krauts.”
“Blizzard” previously was used to describe a big fight or brawl. In the late Nineteenth Century there was a huge Winter storm through much of the US and Canada. One major newspaper described this as “a blizzard of a storm” and the usage stuck.

Oh, I have a cat door. I bring my cats in at night and block it, but during the day it’s open.
Never had a cat on the microwave. Did come home for lunch one day to find a neighbor’s big, black, laid back cat on top of my fridge. “Oh, hey, there. How ya’ doin’?”
