   I’ve always read this one (first three panels) in a creepy “Peter Lorre” voice, out loud! LOL! I think his cute “feets” are funny, too. Love them cute toes!

   Y’know, as a kid, I remember plugging my ears & singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” when I didn’t want to hear someone. I know this comic by heart. I’m a hybrid of Calvin & Susie. In school, I had much of Calvin’s personality yet I also could be good & studious like Susies (and just as sardonic).

   Calvin reminds me of “Dubyah”. I can picture a little man with a “Commander Hat” flunking his leadership skills and getting mauled by his Scotty-Dogs, both whom could probably have done a better job.

   Actually, THAT style of sled is a tobbagan. Calvin has used regular “Rosebud”-type sleds too and refered to them as such.

   Only in “Calvin & Hobbes” can an act of pushing create a huge sound effect. “SHOVE!”
