By the by, I do appreciate the fascination this strip has with space exploration and images from elsewhere in the universe.

Trump Disciples believe Trump. And ONLY Trump.

    All of them.

They believe that more testing causes more covid cases.

And that Herman Cain did not get the virus at the Trump Tulsa rally.

    Five years? Already?

I would have sworn it was last year.

Probably because the country’s been on Hold for almost five years.

Dr. Walter Orenstein is worried. The record-breaking scientific progress made to develop a Covid-19 vaccine will be undermined if Americans flat-out refuse to take the drugs.

As the veteran of fights to eradicate polio and control measles has said many times, “Vaccines don’t save lives. Vaccinations save lives.”

Polls have found a wide swathe of Americans are hesitant about taking a Covid-19 vaccine.

At risk is what experts like Orenstein, who was for many years the head of the U.S. Immunization Program at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, call vaccine confidence.

For a vaccine to succeed, patients must trust the scientists who developed it and the government that approved it.

As a recent Johns Hopkins report put it, “‘If we build it, they will come’ is a naïve presupposition about humans and vaccines.”

Those images are hopelessly corrupt, having been beamed to earth during the so-called administration of the Kenyan Usurper! Real Americans only believe what they’ve been told or shown during Gop years.

If that’s the choice, I’ll take science. Science will, and does, frequently admit it is wrong. Science does submit its work to peer-review. Science, at the very least, doesn’t whine that “nobody likes me.”

The picture would have been more impressive before Neil deGrasse Tyson took it out. You could say Pluto got a deGrasse kicking.
