yeah bit what would today’s “activists” say if started telling them they needed to gain some respect and stop taking all the free things the government is using to keep them down? Or told the homeboys that drug trade is actually killing their people rather than helping them get rims? I think most of the people who claim to “know” him would not be happy with him.

He is us. Anytime we see another person as another self and your brother or sister as a child of God, you emulate MLK.

Today, let’ s committ to live by the profound truth MLKjr recognized:

“Darkness does not drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate does not drive out hate, only love can do that.”

Let us follow MLK and reject violence as we work for peace and justice.

Follow MLK as he leads us to judge people solely on th content of their character.

Remember as we work for freedom, that MLK recognized that it is the same freedom that our founders protected in the Constitution. As MLK said:

“One day the South will know that when these disinherited children of God sat down at lunch counters, they were in reality standing up for what is best in the American dream and for the most sacred values in our Judaeo-Christian heritage, thereby bringing our nation back to those great wells of democracy which were dug deep by the founding fathers in their formulation of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence." Martin Luther Kink, Jr, letter from Brimingham jail, 1963

If MLK was alive today, Stantis would be doing cartoons about how rude and pushy he was … and other conservatives would be saying a hell of a lot worse.

Before closing I feel impelled to mention one other point in your statement that has troubled me profoundly. You warmly commended the Birmingham police force for keeping “order” and “preventing violence.” I doubt that you would have so warmly commended the police force if you had seen its dogs sinking their teeth into unarmed, nonviolent Negroes. I doubt that you would so quickly commend the policemen if you were to observe their ugly and inhumane treatment of Negroes here in the city jail; if you were to watch them push and curse old Negro women and young Negro girls; if you were to see them slap and kick old Negro men and young boys; if you were to observe them, as they did on two occasions, refuse to give us food because we wanted to sing our grace together. I cannot join you in your praise of the Birmingham police department.

Any MLK alive today would be the target of white supremacists for assassination.

He would also be the target of the Republican party for political assassination.

We have all the examples we need. They’ve done their part by pointing the way, it is our turn now.

If MLK were still alive, Bernie Sanders would be president, and donny would be cheating at golf 24/7 instead of only 12/7. BIGLY sad. D’X

They would kill him again, just like they did before. These greedy warmongers would assassinate Jebus, just like they did JFK, his brother Bobby, MLK, John Lennon. The American dream has become an American nightmare. Tax the rich, they can afford it.

Imagine what a different country this would be if Ray had hit Jackson instead of King.

Oh, my gosh yes. He’d get a lot of hate and backlash from the alt right though. Martin Luther King Jr. would NOT be a supporter of the current occupant in the Oval Office
