Interesting comment since this column is several years old!
Back from the days when Trump was only a billionaire and not president.
Oh oh! Here we go!
It’s amazing the number of cartoon references to Trump in the decade before his run for president. I’ve seen them in at least three different “classic” cartoons, not including Doonesbury.
Trump’s always been the butt of New Yorkers’ jokes. He should have been in prison (along with daddy) for their housing policies. And once he burned through the money he was given (illegally) by pappy, he’s never been rich. It’s all been bluster. It’s why he won’t reveal his finances.
His election was BLACKMAIL:
Vote for the lying, philandering, boorish, blackhearted, blovitating, shrivelled soul of a used car salesmen . . . OR ELSE . . . you’ll get Hillary Clinton.
Money can buy ice cream, therefore…
Trump seems grumpy or angry far more often then happy, so I would argue that neither money nor power can buy happiness (sample size = 1).
Money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy you things that make you happy.
