first panel,, middle 2… Stick and Teena ???
Teena seems to have conquered he aversion/allergy for dresses. Sabra looks lovely like that. In fact, they all do.
Did she put up a fight?? In what decade is that supposed to be appropriate? Couldn’t work in today’s school environment. As long as they’re making the play politically correct for all religions or lack of, shouldn’t that also be changed?
Especially considering the ages of the actors. I remember several risqué phrases and concepts in the movie that would not pass for a grade school play.
Looks like Stick is Sandy (good casting) and Teena is Rizzo. But are they doing the movie, which was so heavily censored the remaining plotline makes no sense, or the original Broadway play, which had some very mature content especially for this age group? Or something in between?
A local high school did a combined version, with the original plot, theme, and dialogue uncensored but adding some songs from the movie version that people expect to hear. They did the song “Greased Lightning” but not that whole stoopid subplot about the drag race….
Hey! where’d all these kids come from? I thought Teena’s school only had 4 kids, cuz that’s all we’ve ever seen! (and only one teacher)
