As an Eagle Scout, I’d like to know what kind of Cub Scout den uses bread crumbs? Why not notch an X in a tree?

Did that scout leader never read Hansel and Gretel?!

Granted it’s farfetched…most comics are. Ya hafta focus in on Poncho, who has that “cat who ate the canary” look, or, in this case, “dog who ate the bread crumbs” look.

This comic doesn’t make any sense. They have a map! Bread crumbs should be irrelevant. The real problem is that they’re all lousy orienteers. Not very well thought through on Gilligan’s part.

You all are missing the point. The comic isn’t about the lost boyscouts. It is about Poncho. All other characters are peripheral to playing on Poncho.

Not quite so illogical. Look, they’re in a forest. Remember, ya can’t see the forest for the trees. A map doesn’t do much good if you can’t see the lay of the land—-landmarks, etc.

It’s funny, yes it is. All the humans are somewhat clueless. So using bread crumbs is consistent. (The dogs are pretty clueless, too).

Very clever Paul — a nice balance between reality and just plain stupidity. It’s created a little controversy and much discussion so you’ve certainly earned your pay!:)

It’s a COMIC. Bravo to Lin Gee’s response. I had to read it twice before I caught the humor. Oh Poncho!!!
