And with their small car, either SUVs or 4X4 ’pick’em-up’ trucks will park on both sides, on the lines and the lot will still be empty – no traffic , until you try to back out and can’t see past the behemoths.
You’re a good citizen to practice good driving and parking, even when you don’t see anyone around. Almost no one reports hitting someone they saw . The point is you are developing good habits, which will serve you during those small moments of inattention that we all have, especially when they also coincide with someone else’s lapse of attention.

Are you still a plugger if you do this, but you reverse park because that’s the proper thing to do? Asking for … me, really.

Why not park that way ? That is what the lines are there for . When the lot fills up everyone will have a spot to park ;-)
GumbyDammit223 over 2 years ago
Either a plugger or considerate. Maybe both!

If you park between the lines you’re a Plugger because your vehicle has so many dings in it, another one won’t be noticed.

But you have to do that, ’cuz the next car into the lot will park right next to you no matter how many empty spaces there are.

Yep,and I do it backing in :)

Not any pluggers I know, they park straddling a line so their beat up truck won’t be getting any new dings.

They are just like us. Me: It’s good. Him: You’re too close to this side-I can’t get out. I usually drive.

Why would anyone park across the lines even if the lot is empty?

Pluggers will still back out of that spot, and will never ever drive across all the white lines. That would be anarchy.

if you drive a land cruiser and purposely take up two spaces in a crowded parking lot you’re probably from hokkaido…

The lines are there for a reason. It’s rude to take up two spaces.

If one does not park between the lines – if it is a municipal owned parking lot – one will get a ticket.
