    It also helps if you’ve done telesales work before. (1) You’re immune to the most intense sales pitches and (2) you can use their sales tactics against them.

    Hard to tell if that poor salesclerk is grinning, grimacing, or gritting his teeth, still the grip on the wallet won’t un-tighten soon.

    Any time I have to make a major purchase, I dress down and skip shaving for a couple of days. The “hustler” sales people tend to leave you alone if you look broke, so you can pick out a starving “newbie” or a more sincere sales person to engage in the transaction. Plus, it puts a little more fun into it.
