“IF” is useless without “THEN”.
touché, Earl, on that comeback
Lande & Lbute?
The word ‘life’ also contains the chemical symbols for lithium and iron. I don’t have a joke for this, just a nerdy chemist observation.
Good one Earl!
In Dutch life is “leven”, which contains the Dutch word “even”, which means “little while”. So make the best of it.
Rarely one without the other, especially among the pols.
This one first ran in 2009. Wonder what I said then ?
And ‘life’ without an ‘f’ is nothing but a ‘lie’.
I wonder why Opal’s wondering about the “ifs”?
Opal interrupts Earl’s reading to share some ‘stoner thoughts’. She’s been hitting the bong out in the garage, evidently.
The word “if” is a constant with the media. That way there won’t be so many lawsuits claiming the positive statement.
Why does she even BOTHER..?
If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we’d all have a Merry Christmas. I first heard that from Don Meredith while commentating on a NFL game :-)
Earl misspelled “butts”
IF: intermittent fasting
I like big buts, and I cannot lie.
…but there’s always hope…
If ands and buts were candy and nuts, we’d all have a wonderful Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate)
Earl and his pearls!
And “IF” people who thought that way were immediately killed, we’d have no organized religions.
Without the “f” life is a lie. You decide the ‘f.’
“And what does all of this have to do with this article in Popular Mechanics I’m trying to read??”
Life is ifs, ands AND buts.
…..and Opal, death has “eat” in it. What do suppose that means ?
Just layin’ it out on the periodic table of elements I see!
Hmm, I’ve never been good at grammar, but it does not look like “life” is full of “ifs.” It just has one “if.” Tempted to get theological about what that one “if” would be. But as a Christian, I could let the reader ponder what that one “if” would be.
We’ve got AND BUT and OR, they’ll get you pretty far.
