I was out walking yesterday afternoon, and a woman was across the street walking her dog.
I swear in the course of maybe three blocks before they turned off, that dog sniffed every tree, signpost and street lamp… and lifted his leg at least six times.
I get the “marking his territory” part, but when I go, I go. I don’t want to have to get up every five minutes. How does a dog know how to… ration… their markers?
