Hold me back! Hold me back!!
I’m tired and in bed, but I believe Lorenz documented that behavior in "King Soloman’s Ring, RE Ethology the comparative study of animal behavior.
The leash of bravery?
I’ve had several dogs just like this. Have one now in fact.
You’re always braver with back-up.
Now he is protecting Earl, or so he thinks!
Let me at ’em, let me at ’em. Ooops, time to hide again.
LOL! That’s just like a dog!
as a mail carrier, I recall a few doggies that hid in the bushes when I went through the gate and up to the porch to drop off the mail.
It wasn’t until I closed the gate behind me on the way out that the doggie came rushing out to the fence giving me holy hell for
having the audacity to venture onto his property
Really luv Roscoe’s expressions today…
A little cocker spaniel I once had was barking madly at a nearby German shepherd only because she was hiding behind my legs at the time, all the while trying to get her tail, which she didn’t have much of, between her legs. By the way, the German shepherd was totally ignoring her!
At least Earl has been able to get some time away from Opal for quite a spell.
That’s like the neighbor’s dog. Vicious behind the fence a kitten out.
Now that Roscoe is secured, he can be ferocious with no problem….lol
Boundaries beget bravery and barks.
Leashes lead to lunges.
You never know what you’ll catch when a squirrel catches you.
You can’t go out for a good time unless you’re properly dressed!
With the leash, he knows he’s got the backup necessary to take on that dirty ’ol squirrel!
