Dweeby Phoebe is a rhyme. That’s such a crime. Dakota made it up, that little slime. Getting her back would make a good time.

Sam and Stephanie have been known to pronounce it Fobe.

A friend named her daughter Phoebe, which enlightened me quite a few years ago (Phoebe’s in college at the moment).

Wouldn’t it be funny if she pronounced “robe,” “globe” and “strobe” to rhyme with Phoebe?

And this is why rhyme in english sucks, the written letters can rhyme, but the phonetics don’t.

I think if a comic ever mentions that nothing rhymes with a certain word, everyone reading it becomes obligated to identify words that do rhyme with it.

Just go with “bee” and use the preceding word to keep the rhythm.

And she had complained when Dakota called her that.
