A clarification for those who have never heard her name said out loud by anyone with authority on the matter.

Dweeby Phoebe is a rhyme. That’s such a crime. Dakota made it up, that little slime. Getting her back would make a good time.

A friend named her daughter Phoebe, which enlightened me quite a few years ago (Phoebe’s in college at the moment).

Wouldn’t it be funny if she pronounced “robe,” “globe” and “strobe” to rhyme with Phoebe?

And this is why rhyme in english sucks, the written letters can rhyme, but the phonetics don’t.

I read it as “roby, globy, and stroby” at first glance."

I think if a comic ever mentions that nothing rhymes with a certain word, everyone reading it becomes obligated to identify words that do rhyme with it.

Just go with “bee” and use the preceding word to keep the rhythm.

Sir Joseph was wed to his own cousin Hebe, / And said to her, “Dear, now how thankful must we be / That Josephine’s stepfather, if that’s who he be, / Has married that girl from a bumboat (or BB).”
