Oh hey, I remember those things! I can’t for the life of me remember what they’re called, though, so I’ll just call them “toy binoculars with pictures”.

I never owned a GAF Viewmaster, but I did have a projector as a kid that used the same disc medium. Of course the projector could not provide 3D (Stereoscopic) imagery as the hand-held unit does. https://youtu.be/BDZE0E3O3PQ

and just a couple of days ago, we got one in with several slides. Dating back to the 60s, first I’ve seen in quite awhile. I always loved them too.

Sadly, these were hi-tech when I was a kid. A little boring after the fifth viewing, though, but now I just write that off as early training for the era of eternal reruns we now live in.

Its an provided fact that Unicorn made everything cooler. at least 20 percent cooler in fact

I remember the Viewmaster! My brother and I each had one. The discs we had were for “Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day”, “Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner”, “Lady and the Tramp”, “Toy Story”, and several others that I can’t remember.

I had a Viewmaster! Loved that thing. It showed you 3D pics of all sorts of things, and you could buy packs of different groups of things.

My grandfather had a stereoscope with several boxes of cards for it.

Usually, I don’t like fantasy/ dream sequences in comic strips when they serve no real purpose, but I’d make an exception for Elf Princess Phoebe and Her Rainbowcorn.

I had a Viewmaster and a projector with a bunch of slides, and my aunt had a really old Viewmaster with a ton of slides.

Viewmaster… now that’s some hardcore nostalgia.

I agree with dad, that toy always was and always will be awesome!

i imagined them as an addon for snes/nes so you could have film quality little 3d scenes to run around in
