Aren’t conservatives silly. Just so foolish. Up tight about drag queens; just fine with mass shootings. And they want to force that attitude on all of us. Ain’t gonna work. :-)

Imagine a classroom where children have been gunned down. There also happens to be a picture of that statue on display.

Now imagine someone who thinks that picture is the greater obscenity. That’s your average republican.

I ran a health-care practice for years. We had an area in our reception room for kids, with toys and puzzles and games. And that’s where they went when they got there.

One day, one kid’s mom came to the front desk and loudly protested about an ad that was in a copy of Seventeen magazine that was on our magazine table. There was a woman with no clothes on, although the sexual parts were not visible. But, still!

And the kids, who had previously been perfectly happy to play with toys, all suddenly jumped up to see for themselves what horrible thing we had put out in order to poison their minds.

It’s as if adults totally forget what they were like when they were kids.

The question is, are Republicans hopelessly sexually repressed, or just perverts?

The pre-MAGA religious nuts added a fig leaf in the sixteenth century, which was removed in 1912.

Now, the MAGA religious nuts in the twenty-first century consider the statue to be obscene, along with any art depicting nudes. I dunno, children and youths are pretty resilient, but the horror of active-shooter drills and very real acts of violence, some involving the tearing apart of bodies in mass killings seem pretty darn obscene to me – and with permanent mental health scars, PTSD, and trauma.
