Wanting to close the trunk while our hands are full, and/or without hurting ourselves; how pathetic we are.

(That was sarcasm, in case you couldn’t tell.)

I’m really short. I had an umbrella in the trunk of my hatchback so I could reach the trunk top. I’d have loved one of those buttons.

There’s actually some evidence that obesity could be the result of a bacterial or viral disease. AND eating more then you exercise, of course… but the infection may actually cause the eating.

Just wait until Elon Musk makes Teslas Neuralink-compatible. Then all you’ll have to do is think about where you want to go and the car will take you there (if it doesn’t burst into flames on the way there).

The actual purpose is to make cars completely unfixable by the owner, even for the most minor things. And charge you more money.

Since this strip was first published in 2016, we have gotten cars where the driver doesn’t even have to drive. The car does it for him. How lazy is that?

No no, it’s OK because when you’re carrying all the groceries and chasing the kids it makes up for it. (It’s also, you know, the REASON for it.)

Morning Steph, your right on with this message, I’ve been around a long time and for the last 30 years the number of way overweight people had increased dramatically year after year right along with drugs, alcohol and mental illness, that song to hell in a hand basket is more true than ever! We need to slow down and take a hard look at where we’re headed

We have a snow-globe with a battery and a switch, so you don’t have to shake it to make it snow. Something to watch while you lower the blinds, light the fireplace, and turn on the lights on the tree with remotes.

The Countmobile has a mechanical arm that hands The Count and Countess the seatbelt over our shoulders so we do not have to reach back an extra eight inches to get the buckle.

I was watching a lady do a funny dance in a parking lot: she had a grocery bag in each hand and kept kicking her feet under the back bumper of an SUV. Shoulda been playing some music. After a couple of moments, she put the bags down and pulled out her key. It didn’t fit. Wrong auto. She took her bags and went two cars over and tried again.

It troubles me that some cars now have buttons to open and close the driver door.I feel that if people are not able to operate a car door then they should not be behind the wheel, of course there are special exceptions but in general I just think some dexterity is necessary for driving to be safe.

So many new bells and whistles that we don’t need. For instance, cars that start remotely. That’s a perfect recipe for carjacking if I ever heard one.

My favorite is the people with a gym bag on their shoulder who walk out of their way to push the button on the powered door.If you’re not handicapped, and the effort of pulling the door open isn’t completely insignificant, then you desperately need the exercise!

Obesity is not necessarily an issue of lack of activity, it’s an issue of processed foods being full of things that turn directly to fat in your body. You can have an incredibly active lifestyle and burn 3000 calories a day but if you eat nothing but trans fats and overly processed junk food you’ll never burn off the fat you’re developing.

For some people, having those buttons on car doors can be helpful. Due to the physical issues of my mother and now late father, not having to reach up to pull down their car’s back cargo door is beneficial. Same for my widowed sister with four kids on her minivan. As for whether such features are a good idea for cars, your mileage may vary (pun not intended).

We could place Pig in a stasis chamber for an indefinite time, and then let Rat and Goat carry the strip, with periodic help from the Crocs, Neighbor Bob, L’il Guard Duck and Mr. Snuffles, the Wise A$$ on the Hill, and others….
