A Star Wars fan asked a friend what she thought of Han Solo. She replied, “I like Han Kuryakin more”!

It’s never on the list of all time great movies but can you name any movie that has had more influence on society than Star Wars? Specifically A new hope? I know people will argue other episodes were better but if episode 4 had been a stinker none would have been made. TV shows, movies, literature and you name it all have references to it constantly over 40 years later. My grandson Lucas even has a build a bear that says “Luke, I am your grandfather” in my voice. Yes I know that’s not the actual line.

Honestly, Puns are the best part of Pearls IMO. Although the timing is a bit early, possibly because he knew most people in newspapers only read the Sunday comics, so he wanted this one to reach as many as possible.

When I stretch a story that thin, it breaks like a 50-year old rubber band.

Once someone gave my son some sort of Star Wars action figure that had a button to push for a recording: “Most impressive. But you are not a Jedi yet!” Heard that about a million times.

Lovely pun, Comrade Pastis. However, the Glorious Leader misses the strips (both the pun-oriented and non-pun-oriented) when Rat killed you or tried to kill you. He found those to be hilarious, Comrade, so if you include those again, it would be most appreciated.
