What I want to make me happy doesn’t have to be better than anyone else’s. It just has to be a good vintage.

There used to be a bumper sticker popular in the 80’s that said “He who dies with the most toys … wins.” That attitude is prevalent in that generation, and typified by what we see in DC now.

This looks like a good spot for a link to a Rocket Raccoon quote:

“But what if I want it more than the person who has it?”

They say “You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone”

So I gave it all away.

    Then I knew what I had !

Do I have this right? The key to life according to Rat is:

    1) decide what objects and monetary wealth you need to keep you content for the rest of your life

    2) obtain what you can legally but with minimum effort

    3) steal the rest

    4) if you don’t get caught, you can be happy for life

Trouble is I don’t believe it. It reads exactly like the philosophy of a certain well-known con artist turned wannabe dictator and he looks anything but happy.

Rat’s logic is old-fashioned reductio ad absurdum. Goat needs to muster a more rigorous rebuttal; he is too blase….

I know Progressive music is less popular, but is no one going to mention “Happy With What You Have to be Happy With” by King Crimson?

S/B “Money” by Barret Strong. None of the covers were as good. “First I Look at the Purse” by the Contours is good too.
