Dear Stephan, It may be time to shut down the comments portion of your strip. What proportion of today’s comments referred to your strip? Too much vitriol.

I can’t help but think that if today the sky suddenly filled with angels singing, “And on earth Peace, goodwill to men,” the people hearing it would demand “Which men?”

So the message here is “Don’t be mean….”

This is a fine strip and an equally fine message of the day. There are some who make too much of it (as if they’re being targeted).

I got half way through this mess of comments. It is obvious that “if they” keep us all divided then only rich who work together in the back rooms win. We are all supposed to be on the same team. Until we all stop fighting with each other over what we have heard in the news (not just cnn/ fox/ npr etc) we aren’t really going to make the headway we want.

Yes, and as evidenced here, many who are mean and rude will ALSO defend being mean and rude.
