I vote at least 7 times.
Vote early, vote often!
Is that the comic censor, taking a day off to volunteer at the polls?
Remember people, vote wisely and often.- Rosie the Clown, running for Mayor of Toronto in the 1970s
Vote for the one who will work for the PEOPLE not the Party.
We have had too many years of Party politics and no cooperation. We, the PEOPLE, have all been hurt by bully politics.
Thank you, Goat. Your photos of D-Day are also a reminder that Americans, along with our Allies, fought and died to conquer the Nazis. It is frightening to see that many of our fellow citizens today fail or refuse to understand that.
You’re such a blessing, Goat.
Where really does pig live Chicago?
It should also be remembered that, for our right to vote, some died not just at Normandy, but also in Mississippi.
Ok, republicans, you’ve gotten your cheap, outdated shots in. Several times.
You don’t have to keep posting it as if you just thought of it.
I vote for an end to political propaganda masquerading as entertainment….I also vote to end pork programming.
Yes, Pig, you CAN vote again…in 2020, 2022, 2024, 2026, 2028, 2030…
Scott, a lot of people who were never eligible to vote in US elections also fought and died on Normandy – the US troops weren’t the only ones there.
There was no such thing as a vote before D day. It’s also called the voting war. Mostly because it was against an oppressive government that didn’t get in power by popular vote… What’s wrong with you, Pastis???
Stephan thanks for reminding me to unfurl the colors and fly the flag today ! Also on November 10th and 11th !
Goat does good.
It’s healthy to remember that George Washington loathed politicians. He thought they were a bane on every civilized nation in the world. So don’t forget to go out and vote today!
Jobs not mobs!
It’s no joke today! Get your a$$ to the polls!
Have the right to vote? Thank a vet.
Kinda miss the days of… “Vote for the Kennedy of your choice, but Vote!”
Only if you are a Democrat, Pig.
Excellent. And no, Pig, that would be illegal
I didn’t know pig was a democrat.
I know this will draw the bile of many, but the idea that the US armed forces ever fought for my right to vote is one of those tenets of our American public religion. WWI and WWII were fights against German desire to dominate Europe and Japan’s desire to dominate the Pacific. Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq were all fights for geopolitical reasons. As far as I have learned in my life, we have never had to face an aggressor on our shores who wanted to overthrow our form of government.
This is the best voting strip I’ve seen today.
ah, the pig is a democrat….
Goat is so smart – and he’s just a kid!
Vote for the liars of your choice, but vote. And vote often.
Nicely done Pastis.
Should’ve been a picture of Black marchers being firehosed and beaten and had dogs set on them.
They fought for the constitution not for socialism.
I was there last month. It was sunny, warm, and peaceful with a little breeze. Hard to imagine that that beach was the scene of unimaginable carnage….
Stop Russian meddling. #VotePutin
Huh. I never knew that Pig was a Republican.
WOW! Great strip. I find Pastis to be one of the more apolitical strips of the day.
Must be Chicago. Oh no – they don’t ask in Chicago.
You may only vote once pig, unless your an illegal voting for Democrats!
regardless of which “side” you favor – go exercise your right today.otherwise you lose the privilege of complaining about the government for 2 years.
A bit of a myth the government would like you to remember.. Those that died in the middle East over the last ~20 years..Vietnam.. Korea did it “just” to support the whim of a fool.
If.. the forces were truly concerned about protecting your right to vote.. they would be declaring war on the Republicans that are doing everything they can to restrict the vote.
D-Day was not about our right to vote. What nonsense! It was about helping our allies and honoring our agreements with France.
I can’t believe Night-Gaunt49 is not here today. He thrives in this environment.
All citizens should do their conscientious duty, but estimates I have heard about today’s enthusiastic contests suggest a turnout of only 50-55%, better than many midterms but still lower than one might hope.
Anyway, I voted….
Dad did three combat landings in the Pacific in the Army, he was a Forward Artillery Observer. So I haven’t missed many and most of those because I had just moved to a new town/state.
Yay! Good on ya, Goat!
Pig is from Chicago?
