That yogurt is super probiotic!
I got rid of some 3-year old refrigerated biscuits this evening.
I’m sure that Goodwill sees that type of “sharing” all too often.
I’m with Pig on this one…
I would hate to see Rat donate those things to bishops’ storehouses of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or to the Church’s Welfare Square.
Rat’s philosophy: Tis better to receive than give.
Smart move, Pig.
Pig wants to get some culture?
Mmm, Green eggs and ham.
ObAddamsFamily: Is it made from real six-year-olds?
@mister:quoting Mao Tse Toung??
Every time my wife would go travel with her sisters I’d go thru the pantry and pull anything with a expired date on it. I would then put it on Craigslist.com, in the free section it would get me dozens of people willing to take it off my hands. Most foods now days are so over processed that it’ll still be good for at least another year.
Depends on the item in question for some items will still be usable way beyond a best by date. Pasta is one.
Six year old yogurt. Like Haggis, how do you know when its gone bad?
Expiration dates are a scam!!! The food industry complex is in collusion with the anti-botulism medicine complex. They developed genetically modified bacteria that activate with calendar precision. Same technology they used to kill JFK. It’s a conspiracy!!!!!
I have canned food from 2008, big deal, no problems. If they are bad, you know it. The can is leaking or blown.
The 7 year old parmesan cheese was a little funky. ;-}
Canned food can last for decades if stored cold and dry… https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/arctic-explorers-uncover-60-year-old-food-stash-180956936/
“Wong Wu’s? I thought they went out of business three years ago.”
Past best by date js not the same as expired food is still good to eat
I had some 12 year old scotch so I drank it before it got too bad.
Rat is going to face a serious lawsuit
He can donate to the postal carriers food drive in May. Everyone else does.
Giving away any antiquated fruitcake, Rat?
Slick charity , typical for Rat
Surplus from the Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief supplies. Except for the paper towels.
Go ahead, Pig. Six-year-old yogurt should be a very potent Colonic Cleanse. If you survive.
Rat’s heart is in the right place. It’s his head that’s the problem….
Rat’s generosity is roughly proportional to the greenness of his food!
Rat is going to live beyond his expiration date.
Most of what people call an expiration date is actually the “best by” date. Still edible but maybe not as tasty. I challenge anyone to let something sit a week after the “best by” date, and try it. Let us know if you can actually tell a difference, I bet not.
Rat should have called it “antique foods”.
