The two on the left look they are related or married since they look alike, the other personhas nice teeth. Maybe Rat commented to them about their appearance? He may have said fat & ugly. Rat has a way with words.
I have seen the future! the Irish will finally take-over the world! in ten years, millennials will be unable to defeat us because we are a culture of people who cannot be offended! long as we keep the scots on our side.
“And it came to pass, that those who were offended did battle amongst themselves for the title of ‘Most Triggered,’ and after many victims did fail to meet the ever-lower standard for offense, and were sacrificed to Snowflake, the Sexless Deity of Required Tolerance, one at last emerged victorious, only to take their own life in protest over the entire concept of ‘competition’.And there was much rejoicing.”
Perhaps POS should be added to the list of recognized disabilities; oh, that’s the “Perpetually Offended Syndrome.”
I’m sure he didn’t make it up on his own, but I remember reading a Robert H. Heinlein novel that contained the line, “Only a fool takes offense when none is offered.” I might be offended by some things, but I like to think I try and work out if an offense was actually intended. If not, then maybe, just maybe, problem lies with me.
I already know most of Rat’s offensive comments and gestures throughout the 16-year history of Pearls, and they make me want cut my ears off just like Vincent Van Gogh. I’m the most offended one of all! I WIN!!

Pretty mild reply by Rat; I would have expected to say something along the line of “Off with their heads!”

The best defense is said to be a good offense. The most offended are the most defensive. And the most defensive are the most offensive.

We have become the United States of the (Easily) Offended. Not only must we be careful in what we say, now it’s what we wear. Sad, really.

What amuses me is that this comic strip is expressing how offended it is at the people who is says are offended. So this strip wins!

Rat’s probably the winner then. Because three people just came to him to tell him he said something offensive.

Sad commentary on a very real world problem.
Somehow the American public got the insane notion that they have a right to not be offended.
