I wiki’d garbanzo beans and found out they are the same thing as chickpeas. Surely the word chickpea has much more comedy potential in a strip like this.

I’m thinking Stephan was having one of those “I can’t think of an idea” moments so he looked into the pantry, saw a can of beans, and decided to make a week of strips…

My husband’s bday is the 7th. I shall inform him his big day has been usurped by garbanzo beans. And mine is the 18th and according to waycyber, that day is Pet Therapy Day. Nice.

Garbanzo beans are great. I used to look for them in the stores as chickpeas, but I never found them that way. Then I went looking for the flour and I had to learn a new name. Besan. Lots of different names and multifunctional. They have so many different names because they’re used in so many different cultures for so many different things.

Hmmm. Catholics have so many saints, that there are multiple saints celebrated (if you must) each day. In October, the least (by a quick scan) is October 18th, with 8.

On the other hand, it’s not October 7 that is Garbanzo Bean day; St. Bean’s Day is Oct. 26.

Well, after renting a car to visit my uncle this weekend one of the things that happened to my mother and myself is that the low tire sensor went off. Deciding to top off the tire before the trek back home the three of us went to three different service stations to get the tire inflated it seemed that each time there was a vehicle at the pump causing my mother to express, “What? Is this National Pump Up Your Tires Sunday?”
