The world of Peanuts is pretty weird. Dogs are pets but have enough sentience to start magazines, yet no adult ever appears on panel.

Is there ever such a thing as an “ordinary dog”, Snoopy?

It’s even been translated into German: DER BEAGLE.

I’ve always wondered why the default is to depict cats as female, and dogs as male. Other than that, today seems weak for strips.

And I thought this was a family comic.

I have to wonder if children would understand today’s strip.

There’s a market, but I don’t want to know any of those people

I always thought dogs were male and cats female; it was part of my childhood, no different then belief in the Great Pumpkin.
