Is this the only time Peppermint Patty said “stop calling me ‘sir’” or were there other times?

Maybe Marcie and the “shut up and leave me alone” kid will hit it off.

At that age, like Chuck, I was totally clueless about girls.

Because of the June 6, 1996 D-Day strip the 1972 one where Marcie meets Peppermint Patty in the Summer Camp cafeteria is not rerun again (It was rerun in 2002 anyway).

From my Army days, “Don’t call me sir, I’m a Sergeant. I work for a living.”

My summer camp was on the other side of the lake from a girl’s camp. Me and a buddy were in a boat and got caught in a current (yes, lakes do have them) and would up on the far shore. Dang, did we get in trouble…

It’s a running gag. Wouldn’t be as funny if they were only walking.
