Is Sally (who should know Lincoln was born about ten years after Washington’s death) thinking of Presidents’ Day?

I remember those “reports” on Lincoln et al, copied straight out of the encyclopedia. No one ever suggested we could phrase things our own way.

So, how does Charlie now know exactly where Snoopy went and why? Can he read his dog’s mind?

Imagine if she said the same thing to Franklin.

I don’t know, I would have thought a Washington bio mentioning old Abe would be more mindbending. #timetravel

How come Schulz never mentioned Alley Oop in this strip? I’ve always been sort of interested in Alley Oop.

Shame on that crappy author not mentioning George Washington in Abraham Lincoln’s biography!

Sally, George Washington was dead and buried long before Lincoln was born.

I read a book about a politician once. But I was disappointed. She never ever mentioned “SERVING” or even how she represented the people who elected her. I kind of like politicians who are interested in serving/representing ALL those who elected them.

Sally’s got a point. Lincoln does mention Washington in his speeches and reported conversations…and the Parson Weems biography of Washington was apparently a big influence on him. I’d be disappointed in a biography of Lincoln that didn’t mention Washington.

One of my all-time favorites “Peanuts” strips was the one where Lucy (after being incessantly badgered by Linus) finally agrees to read a book to him:

Lucy: “A man was born, He lived and he died. The end.”

Linus: “What a fascinating account. It almost makes me wish I had known the fellow!”

Don’t forget this Sally; it will make a good book report when you are in school.
