i think that’s what Salk was working on in his last days.
She deserves a shot in the arm all right.
Since Schulz was an only child, he wasn’t basing this on a sister. One biography on him speculated that Lucy was based on his first wife. Also, this first wife came with a daughter, so maybe it’s based on the stepdaughter’s behavior.
I know some folks who could use a shot of that stuff.
A vaccine won’t help. Vaccines are preventative, and she’s already deeply infected..There are effective treatments, though… e.g., cyanide.
When Charlie Brown feels sorry for you, you know you’ve got it bad.
“Why don’t you take a pill for relief of nausea caused by sight of little brother clutching blanket?”
We all have a little “Lucy” in us we try to tame. Sometimes it works, and sometimes she escapes!

Lucy is not crabby, she is abusive! to make matters worse she is her psicologist. Who volunteers to tell her “doctor heal thyself”? Not me.
Chocolate, video games, and comic strip collections are all effective treatments.
I have an older sister. Fortunately, she was not crabby or I’d be an only child by now.
I’m sometimes crabby like Lucy and it’s best if nobody talks to me when I’m in a mood.
Isn’t the cure half a brick?
Although today it is most attributed to Lee Iacocca, I wonder if Lucy knows she is quoting Thomas Paine with “…get out of the way!”?
