I’ve seen adults with this concept. Some people really have a problem with arithmetic.
Charlie Brown, wait until your mid-life crisis.
Sally can make it happen. 25 % 50 =?
Push it real good.
25 is 1/2 of 50.
Yes, she’s right! You can push and shove and force it in!!!
Well, if nothing else, Sally’s figured out how Congress puts together a budget.
How old is Sally again?
50 can go into 25 easily if you use different font sizes.
“Somehow it’s OK for people to chuckle at not being good at math. Yet if I said I never learned to read, they’d say I was an illiterate dolt. Science and math [are] fundamental to what it is to be alive, because they’re all around us.”—Neil deGrasse Tyson
Sally must have a Tardis.
For some of us there is not enough practice to make perfect in math. I’m good at things like accounting math, but the higher forms of math (um, anything after grade school), while I appreciate their value, my brain’s wiring is just unavailable.
I hate maths! I was rubbish at it.
Even if I was good at it, I would still probably hate it but who knows?
A batting average of .500 would be pretty good, wouldn’t it?
Naw, .500 is an amazingly good batting average.
All things being equal, arithmetic would be a lot simpler.
I know people who have handled money this way!
why isn’t this strip Christmassy??!!!!!….isn’t Christmas going to be here soon??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
