Linus often has a pretty accurate idea of what goes on inside Snoopy’s head. Like when Snoopy was playing a Captain of the Royal Navy on the lookout for pirates, and Linus startled him with a well-timed “Boom!” Or when he was playing his signature role of the WWI Flying Ace on the lookout for The Red Baron, and Linus said “Ra-ta-ta-ta!”

Dogs don’t talk, they think to themselves (like Garfield does too!).

Now we know that Linus grew up to be Joel Osteen, purveyor of fantasy, fairy tales, and scams. If his audience ever grows up……he won’t have one.

Once Snoopy and Charlie Brown were playing checkers. Charlie Brown is waiting for Snoopy to move, and thinking to himself something like, “He’s a sly one. I know he’s all kinds of moves ahead of me. I wonder what he’s plotting?” What was Snoopy actually thinking? “I can never remember, am I the red or the black?”
