Peppermint Patty replies, "I don't have a mother, Marcie!"<BR><BR> Marcie stands alone.<BR><BR> Marcie walks away and says, "I think I'll go home, and paint my tongue black!"<BR><BR>

Whether it was death or divorce, it’s a sad story that Shultz didn’t want to put in a light-hearted strip like Peanuts.
