Lucy says, "You should start thinking about becomong president, Charlie Brown..."<br> <br> Charlie Brown replies, "Not me...I could never become president..." Lucy says, "Sure you could Charlie Brown, but you have to begin planning for it NOW..."<br> <br> Charlie Brown says, "Maybe you're right , Lucy...Maybe if I begin to study now while I'm young, I CAN become president someday!"<br> <br> Lucy exclaims laughing, "YOU? PRESIDENT? HA!HA!HA!HA!!!" Charlie Brown grimaces.<br> <br>

Whenever Lucy says stuff like that, I’m gonna call it “oxymoronic”.

This was published just as the presidential primaries were closing (June 7, 1960). That ended with John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon being chosen as the Democratic and Republican candidates respectively.

If Crazy Joe can steal the White House, I don’t see why Charlie Brown could not legitimately win.
