Schroeder, in his catcher's outfit, stands in ther field with Charlie Brown. He throws out his arms and says, "We've got to have a right fielder, don't we? Go ahead..ask her!" "I think I'd almost rather forfeit the game!" Charlie Brown says. They stare at Lucy, who sits under a tree with a book.<BR><BR> "No good can possibily come of this..." Charlie Brown decides as he walks.<BR><BR> "Lucy, how would you like to be a substitute?" he asks. She looks up at him inquiringly.<BR><BR> She turns back to hher book: "I don't think I would...I've always wanted to be a nurse."<BR><BR> They stand faciong each other. Charlie Brown explains, "That's not what I mean...We're short one player...We need you for right field." "Oh.."<BR><BR> "The sun is pretty bright out there so you'd better wear these dark glasses." Charlie Brown adds, sticking a pair of sunglasses onto Lucy's nose.<BR><BR> "Even though I don't know what's going on I feel real professional," Luicy decides as she walks along, wearing the sunglasses.<BR><BR> "These glasses would be perfect if an eclipse came along.." she comments, looking up at the sky.<BR><BR> "I've never really seen an eclipse," she adds, still glancing up at the sky. [PANEL 10] She looks up in another direction: "There just might be one all ready to come along."<BR><BR> [PANEL 11]: BONK! A baseball bashes Lucy on the head. [PANEL 12]: "Hey, Charlie Brown!" she cries, .running down the field. [PANEL 13]: "Here, take your ol' dark glasses..I think they're bad for my eyes..." she says, thrusting the sunglasses towards him. [PANEL 14]: "They give me a headache!" she explains, walking away and rubbing her bruised head.<BR><BR>
