Wow. Snoopy is a (gasp) “dog” dog. He wouldn’t think any thoughts for two more years. It would take three more years after that for him to stand up, and three more years to get on his doghouse. He wouldn’t be a Flying Ace until 1966. Evolution at work.

Thus the world is introduced to Snoopy, the not-so-average dog. However, he acted more like a dog in his early years. He walked on all fours, did not think of words, and demonstrated dog-like behavior. Apparently, according to this strip, Snoopy must be related to Dr. Seuss’ “Daisy-Head Mayzie”. :)
