ps: Doofus often confuses reality with T.V., where something drastic always happens early in the show to distract from the bad actor and director. That’s when the star (D.D.) takes charge and dominates the entire story with his 2nd grade nuclear heroics.

What a country we are in when the National Security Advisor was lying about his contacts with the Russians, and when the Press Secretary and the President’s Councilor (Conway) routinely lie to the public, and when the President himself seems to have no regard for the truth, and when the President operates by denigrating and insulting anyone who disagrees with him, and when the President seems more interested in his own finances and the business dealings of his family than he is in the welfare of the country. Working together with Trump means colluding in the breakdown of American democracy.

What a country we are in where people who just spent eight years denying the legitimacy of a popular president are shocked that anybody who doesn’t see the pouting, thin-skinned egomaniac they’ve put in through gerrymandering and disenfranchisement as a fair-minded hero who must never be disparaged or questioned in any way.

I’ve always rolled my eyes whenever I’ve come across the expression “…leader of the Free World” and the president of the USA is mentioned in the same sentence. More so now.

Can we agree Angela Merkel deserves that distinction instead?

35 mental health professionals signed a letter to the NYT questioning Trump’s mental stability. “We believe that the grave emotional instability indicated by Mr. Trump’s speech and actions makes him incapable of serving safely as president.” http://www.lancedodes.com/new-york-times-letter

Any first year psychology student could tell you that Trump’s fixation on his hand size, and the insistence on overly long neckties show a very insecure personality.

What a pity that all the right-wing Trumpanista snowflakes can do is try to insult Oliphant, who hasn’t lost an iota of his insight.

Although HEN3RY is wrong about almost everything (whether through ignorance or dishonesty I would never presume to know), this cartoon is far from Oliphant’s classics. It really is just name-calling. The name-calling is truthful, yes (Donald Trump is very loud, very stupid, and very dishonest, and possibly insane), but there’s no wit here, no unexpected twist, no attention to detail. (His hands, for example, are NOT noticeably small in this cartoon.) I think Oliphant was the greatest political cartoonist of the 20th century, and I have no doubt he can still create great cartoons—he did it frequently in the 21st century, after all. This just doesn’t happen to be one of them.

I get the feeling that with Hen3ry, good/bad and right/wrong are determined by who says or does something rather than what is said or done.

So the “new” media, Breitbart, Fox, Info Wars are good?I remember when Alex Jones first appeared on Art Bell’s show. I’m STILL waiting to see pics of those “internment” camps Bush II, later Obama, were having built. Also waiting for pics of that superhighway from Mexico to KC that would be only for trucks bringing loads of stuff here to undercut America. You can SEE it from the AIR he said!

The phoniest nabob of them all would be complaining loudly about it, though, just as he did when he feared Obama was going to be elected by a minority that carried the Electoral College. He was tweeting away for outright insurrection, if memory serves.

Oliphant is wrong. Trump brags that he has the same temperament he had at the age of fourteen. And one important lesson I’ve learned in my long life is this: When somebody admits something is wrong with themselves, believe them.

Case in point: Trump, at his “rally” went off about the “terrible terrorist incident in Sweden”, which alludes to a propaganda hit piece aired by FOX “News” – something that never happened. So here we have the POTUS watching and accepting whatever weird things come out of that media, in lieu of actual events. It’s bad enough that it’s documented fact that FOX “News” viewers are the least-informed of world events. It’s many times worse when an adolescent POTUS believes them, too.

Hey, suck it up Brietbart Nazis VORPAL7 & SOUNDSTORM. Doofus Donald is supplying the best comedy material in the history of the Presidency. I just hope he doesn’t follow through on his infantile nuclear threats. But then, you’re probably anxious like those TV evangelists for the apocalypse to come in your lifetime, aren’t you.

Not that I necessarily agree with the viewpoint presented, but it’s good to see Mr. Oliphant back. One of the characteristics of a great cartoonist of this genre is that even when you disagree, you can still appreciate the talent.

So who is the REAL doofus here? Is it Donald Trump, who despite a complete lack of political experience and non-stop attacks on him by the mainstream media, has done a pretty good job? Or is it Pat Oliphant, who is apparently only capable of ONE cartoon in 8 months, and that one is little more than a CHILDISH insult? You decide!
