Republicans went from the guy with whom you’d drink a beer to the guy who’d buy the brewery, sell off the brew tanks, and half the delivery trucks lay off the drivers and call that job creation, while pocketing his profit and buying champagne.

You are right. The car outside the window has dual round headlights and not many newer cars have those. I doubt if it is a Jaguar.

Mitt and Rick both have the same basic problem that turns things against them: they keep talking.

Whether or not it’s apocryphal, Marie Antionette’s “Let them eat cake” comes to mind. It’s not just the income disparity, it’s the unfamiliarity with “How the other 99.99% lives.”

How it must irritate these candidates as successful businessmen to submit to public scrutiny: a quadrennial ritual of ambitious aristocrats forced like dogs to lick the sores of lepers.

All of them are richer than you and me and probably smarter, too, in a practical sense. They must feel their free opinions are being suppressed, that their public utterances are being shaped by the press through a process of blackmail and intimidation. I doubt they truly consider us a jury of their peers.

The ones who succeed in this public arena have developed a talent for phony abasement, frankness and courage left to their memoirs.

Gee, that looks just like my grandparents’ kitchen.

Ah America…..where anyone can aspire to becoming a corporate raider, getting fabulously wealthy, and not have to pay fair taxes on it.

the sad part is that the former middle class, and the parts of the middle class not affected still have the hopes that they too, will become one of the rich.Listen, it’s not gonna happen. No matter how hard you tug on your boot laces. It could for maybe 1%, but those are NOT good odds.

Suddenly, he like Detroit. Seems like just the other day he said we shouldn’t have bailed out the auto industry. Then, he have to settle for Mercedes-Benz
