It nice to see an honest political cartoonist. So far President Obama has gotten a free ride from the press. Imagine if these guys had not been Democrats how long they would have been up for consideration once tax fraud was discovered. About 1 second and Daschle would have been the one riding them out of town on a rail. This is the height of hypocrisy. An honest mistake my eye!

On the other hand, how many absolutely clean people are there in DC, untainted by lobbyist money and influence? Not many. Like it or not, it’s people like Daschle and Geithner who know how to get things done–for better or worse, they represent “experience,” something which the few squeaky clean ones may not have.

I’m from Houston, TX. “W” was an invisible governor with NO Senate experience who allowed the water table in Texas to be systematically poisoned and depleted (just ONE of his committed rapes in our state). So…you are portraying someone who was president of the Harvard Law Review as an ape. Good going, Eliphant.

“W” graduated from an Ivy league school? Technically - yes, but questions have been raised as to how. And his performance since has reflected his academic standing.

I gotta be honest here…I was aware of Tom Daschle’s lobbyist ties, so how could Obama not have been?

At least Daschle’s out of it now.

And Mcenulty…no, if Daschle had been a Republican he would have been rammed down our throats same as Condi Rice and Alberto Gonzales were.

Simon_J, in short what’s OK for our man isn’t OK for yours. PS Don’t forget John Bolton.

Yeah…but Bolton he got his job by way of a recess appointment, an end run around, rather than a straight shot THROUGH Congress.

Still not good, but a different process.
