Some cartoonists are VERY repetitive Garfield being the one that pops immediately to mind. Some not so much: Walt Kelly’s Pogo being my personal favorite, but Simpson does a pretty good job. And Munroe (XKCD) has a form of repetition that helps (me at least) widen your viewpoint. Mallett (Frazz) is another like that. Heck even Pastis (Pearls Before Swine) comes up with new awful puns from time to time.
PS: Did you notice that Pastis is calling his readers swine with that title?
