Lawn darts back in the days of if you lose a kid hey just have another one.

I believe Charles is now.

After a recent serious injury caused by a lawn dart, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reissued its warning that lawn darts are banned and should be destroyed. Effective on December 19, 1988, CPSC banned the sale of all lawn darts in the United States.

That’s all unfair, we had to make our own dangerous toys. Then get a hiding for injuring someone.

Guess it’s time to round up the humans.

Where’d they find Jarts? Those were banned over 40 years ago.

I have a set, got them for Christmas a few years back. When we were kids our parents being sane had us both be on ONE SIDE and throw to where no one was present. Never any injuries. Seemed like such a reasonable thing to do!

Todays version is called CornHole. And, Yeah, it’s safer.

Lawn darts and Jarts were banned in the USA in 1988 and in Canada in 1989.

They have caused several deaths in both countries.

And yet people still conduct javelin practice on track fields loaded with runners, despite the signs directing otherwise.

God is in charge.

20 gauge shotgun…open shot shell take out pellet load, insert one pub dart. Load into shot gun. Aim at pub dart target mounted on hay bale 20 yards away. Fun for 12 year olds everywhere.
