“That’s a big Twinkie”.
Sorry R. J., but the UC Santa Cruz astronomers have already dubbed that one the Banana Slug. And that galaxy does look more like a Banana Slug than a Twinkie.
FYI, the Banana Slug (which is a bright yellow) is the school mascot at UCSC.
Twinkie, Twinkie, little star. / How I wonder what you are.
Amazing how the creme filling still squishes all over you lips when you bite one. I’m hoping they find a Ding Dong next.
Ironically and hilariously, it was just revealed that one of the pictures attributed to that telescope that was supposed to have been of Proxima Centauri (I think) was actually a photograph of a slice of sausage. It was a prank by the astronomer.
I found this picture of the “Banana Slug Galaxy”:
In space, no one can hear your cream.
The shelf life of a Twinkie is 45 days.
Don’t be ridiculous, RJ. Everyone knows that that’s a Vienna Finger in the sky.
