“the bird was none the worse for wear.” So, no emotional stress? ;-)

Our cat did that on a regular basis with a robin (who was furious), a crow (who had been eating blueberries, yeah, you know what all over) a humming bird (had to remove the skylight to let it out) and various snakes and voles. She would have made a great retriever, she had a “soft mouth”!

Louie might be lucky he didn’t bite the butterfly. Lots of butterflies are poisonous.

No chipmunks one year……neighborhood cat got them, bit their heads off, left the bodies at the back door of their house as trophies, and a yard full of heads. Wish the cat was still here

I like chipmunks. Were they a bother?Our cat tended to leave squirrels tails for trophies. Yech.
