Racehorse names need to be approved by a committee to ensure no offensive or inappropriate names are used. Quite a few years ago a rather mischievous owner got his name passed by an oblivious committee. The horse’s name was Hoof Hearted. Say it out loud a few times. It’s on YouTube too.
I must say I missed this one completely until I read the comments. My first thought that square house was sad because the love of his life, Pisa, was drifting away from him. I must also say that it is much funnier the way it was intended.
Some very witty comments and humorous names in the comments today. I just can’t seem to make the connection with the Leaning Tower of Piza in the cartoon, did I miss something (again)?
To add another dimension, I think Ripley once found a record of a Russian immigrant name Abi Sidi Ief Gieh (try saying it out loud) .
There were also a couple whose names matched up with their addresses (though those may have been made up) Like Quoth D. Raven who lived in Never Missouri (i.e. Never Mo.) or C. U. Sunday of Early Mass.
And I did have a friend who said that they had had an Eastern European woman named Abushul Annapek, who was having a romantic relationship with a coworked. He apparently waited YEARS for him to say the magic words “I love you, Abushul Annapek” at which point he yelled out “Doodle oodle oo-do, Doodle oodle oo-do,Doodle oodle oo-do do”! (yes, it sound specious to me to.)
A lot of people seems confused about the buildings. The tower isn’t called Pisa, it’s the name of the city. The square building is the cathedral of Pisa (I presume). The Piazza dei Miracoli has the tower, the cathedral, and the baptistry. The cathedral is also sinking into the ground, it’s not just the tower.

It sometimes takes a little while to realize that the reason you’re alone is because of that pitiful smell that’s coming from you.
