In the late ’80s, I did some contract work at the L.A. Times. One day I asked if the programmer who spilt a cup of coffee in the disk drive in the ’70s, costing five million dollars to rebuild a data base, was still pushing a broom in the basement.
My supervisor’s response was, “I’ll have you know that he was very sorry about that. And how do you know about it?!”

Windows 95 wasn’t that great. Windows 98 was much better.
