Stop that!

Half over? School has already started in neighboring towns, and starts here week after next.

I think school starts tomorrow around here.

The college and early schools are back. Regular schools will start in a week or so. I’m retired and back to school ads still make my stomach hurt.

Collage starts on the 22nd regular schools went back a week ago.

Hated school. Loved school supplies.

Is that the path that leads to the Incident ?

Ack. When I was in school, the new year always started the day after Labor Day. And the new TV season a week or so after that, right around the time the new car models came on the market.

Here in Kansas elementary started on August 11th, High School on August 12th, compulsory imprisonment for the good of society. Does’t seem to be working, still a lot of idiots.

This strip was apparently written in 2018. So it probably was the middle of summer when it first appeared.

“Half over” where? School has been back in session here for two weeks already!

We need distraction mode!

Even when dealing with imaginary horses, I’ve been told, the cues are – ask, ask, tell. And always be prepared for sudden obedience.

Pretty soon you’ll be looking at school clothes and pencils. I suppose kids these days are more interested in styluses than styles.

Appears Danae has one or two happy points in her psyche. Don’t show up often but they are there.

Here they start between the 12th and 20th of Sept. depending on age. They have been on holiday since the 22nd of June.

Why are they resuming school so early? It was always the Wednesday after Labor Day.

Asked my teacher Daughter, ‘’No one really knows, Pop.’’

I think this is another case of some dope, fixing something that wasn’t broken.

My kids went back Thursday

Time to count the number of replies about how they/their kids start school this week – where I live, school starts for everybody on Tuesday (and I think it ends the Thursday or Friday after Memorial Day)

School used to start in September, don’t know why they moved it up to August. China is still kicking our *ss

I’m returning one next week, one the following week and the last 3 days later. Back to our normal programming schedule.

If I was a kid, I’d refuse to return any earlier than, the 1st Wednesday after Labor Day.

Claim it was religious persecution or something, and that I refuse to be intimidated.

When you look at the date school starts, also look at the number of days the kids have off during the school year — teacher training, teachers catching up on stuff, parent-teacher conferences, holidays, snow days…

Kid here (FL) went back to school on Aug. 10th. Summer vacation is over.

Danae will need IBS-D relief by the time school starts!

Emeritus College for seniors (offered thru Santa Monica College) starts Aug. 29th. I’ve taken classes in Emeritus going on 6 or 7 years now. Great way to take courses (Examples: Greek Literature and Watercolor) that never interested me as a young bucko. Also, in college (UCLA) I had to take a lotta science courses for my degree.

But if you have a horse, anything besides a storm or scorching heat is still good
