    They deny pandemics.

    They deny climate science.

They deny life sciences (evolution, stem cell therapies).

A pandemic wreaks devastation and death, and they demand their “right” to join with others in close-knit orgies of worship, protest, ad hoc Trump rallies and the sharing of infections.

The evangelical megachurches — the dinosaurs of the 21st Century — that are still holding massive, densely-crowded services are death cults every bit as much as Jim Jones (Jonestown Kool Aid massacre) and David Koresh (Waco). These Branch Covidians can use grape flavored Kool Aid for their communion.

And these death-cult Grim Reapers know exactly what they are doing. One “pastor” even came right out and said, “Christians should be willing to die for their faith.”

Anti-science superstitionists will be the ones disproportionately impacted, because those who respect science and heed its warnings and recommendations will be the ones to survive.

The deniers and hoaxers self-select for evolutionary elimination as they compete for the next round of Darwin awards.

They can deny Darwin but they cannot escape Darwin.

you are right DD Wiz….except you left out one point…..these flatheads are going to infect, and possibly kill, some innocents, innocent people who are caring and want to take care of themselves and others…..people who carefully try to not infect others….but these flatheads don’t get it….they are not the martyrs they fantasize themselves to be….just self-centered dweebs………

So long as Buttercup runs the government/country as a temp employer who hires/fires at will without input from Congress, this pandemic will not be handled in a serious professional manner. Having daily chest beating news conferences cannot disguise the growing numbers of people infected/lost which might have been avoided. More will die and every death since first notice in Jan/Feb can be directly tied to Buttercup’s mismanagement and inadequacy. His republican toadies insist he is the man, but is he worth what it will cost each of them and us in November and future elections?

Hmm. The New York Times, Washington Post, and CNN, among others, for weeks at the end of January and into February, claimed the flu was worse than Covid-19 and the administration’s task force was trying to scare and/or distract people. This goaded politicians like Mayor DeBlasio to encourage people to go out and party, into mid-March. Now they argue precisely the opposite. They’re the dinosaurs in this scenario.

Then there are the Christians on the front lines risking their lives to save others. Do a search of Samaritan’s Purse and NYC for a current example. Here in the American South, home of hurricanes, we call Christian groups of rescue people the God Squad. They show up with chain saws, food, and medical equipment, and don’t leave until they are no longer needed. They often come in before the Red Cross and the US government.
