The one thing the GOP has no trouble recycling…

at least it’s sorted. Around here it’s paper in one bin and everything else in the other bin. The “other bin” just goes to land fill but people are so smug about themselves as to how they recycle

I like the way that racist and sexist tropes totally disappeared after the 2016 election.

Are the racist and sexist tropes biodegradable or will they last 10,000 years?

Off the top of my head I can remember Marlo Thomas, Mickey Rooney and Peter Sellers doing ‘yellow face’ roles, as well as a bunch of cartoons that make me cringe to remember, Like Joe Jitsu and the Rice Crinkles kid.

Incinerators. Very high temp incinerators for that last bin. And dumpster divers using them.

I thought the GOP kept all its deplorables in baskets.

Republicans used to fear that the government had too much control over big business…it’s come full circle as now major corporations control them

The symbol on the cans shows the direction the president, congress, and the rest take on any issue. Note there is no end point.

Unfortunately, the land fill for tropes is the internet. The web collects all the mental garbage of the uncensored masses and recycles it as news.

Incineration would be a better plan.

Make sure those landfills are properly clay-lined to prevent leaching into the water table and also have lots of gas vents to trap the escaping methane from the rot. It can be recycled into something useful, you know.

I agree, it’s time to bury misogynistic and racist rhetoric and attitude from our collective thinking once and for all. Unfortunately, that is unlikely, some find comfort to blame rather than find common ground to what ails us.

There is no longer such a thing as ‘the election cycle’.

It was replaced, remember, by Karl Rove and the Republicans. It is now Continuous Campaigning.

Reminds me of an old Polak joke… which, as a politically correct liberal, I cannot possibly repeat. So I’ll just recast it into an acceptable political statement:

Kid in GOP household: “Mom, mom, the trope-recycler truck is here!”

Mom: “Great, Donny. Tell him we need two carts-full.”
