Irene: ... So, lesson learned. Don't hold down the Alt and Command keys when you hit send.
Good. I could use a drink.
This gives going into the cloud a whole new meaning.
Breathing aside — How does sound travel in a vacuum??
DON’T TOUCH THE ESCAPE BUTTON !!!
So if your computer has both you’re in big trouble.RIGHT?
just Restore the system to day before yesterday
Your information is outdated. Here’s the current Apple key labeling:
I just tried it and I’m still on Earth. What software was he running?
My favorite ALTS…14 ♫ ,13 ♪ and 167, º….and 155, ¢ and 156, £ are pretty cool too..♥ ☼
Oh, don’t get me wrong, I got nothin’ against space, spent a lot of time there in the 70’s…..the view is….interesting…..
Um,….they ARE going to blow up like balloons and pop, right?

I bought an Apple II+ for about $2,500. It had 64k of memory and you could write little programs and save them to the floppy disks (two disk drives!).Castle Wolfenstien was a wonderful game to play with my little girls 6 & 4.
Real flesh-and-blood critters don’t blow up like balloons and pop. They eventually swell up to about twice normal volume due to gas bubbles once the body’s ability to control internal pressure fails, but can be revived if recovered quickly (within a couple of minutes) and treated properly.http://www.geoffreylandis.com/ebullism.html(These cartoon characters are also not real. They speak and presumably are heard in a vacuum, which would be impossible for us.)
Can I try that?
And the space bar would have alt music and you can run a tab, as long as you have command of your senses. They may even let you return.
May I recommend going into the Time Machine and traveling back a day or two?
Only Apple can do this?
The cat’s either like"How you like me now?" or like freaked out
just who da heck reads that stuff?
I think that might be why he used that combination. It would be impossible for some unwitting reader to try it and get ejected into space.
@bugsfunnies and unnormal: also Option 0 (zero) for the degree symbol on a Mac.
My advice to all of you is : STEP AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD AND NO ONE WILL GET HURT !!
That should be “include.” I don’t feel like going through the copy/correct/paste routine for this one again.
or the “any” key
Houston, we have a problem
A space bar? Is that like a Milky Way?
And people wonder why I hate computers!
I’m still having trouble finding the ‘ANY’ key.
On my very first day of my very first computer class, we were told this would happen if we hit the “Escape” key. There are days when I wish it worked.
Just in case it might help anyone… If you don’t have a numeric pad, there is a way to still use these alt codes. I found it when I Googled “alt codes”. I’d be happy to try to help if anyone needs it. Briefly, you hold down the “Fn” key while pressing a key with a lock symbol on it. There should be some indicator light showing that the function lock is engaged. Then, certain keyboard keys can be used for the numeric pad. M=0, J=1, K=2, L=3, U=4, I=5, O=6, 7=7, 8=8, 9=9. You can see the numbers under the letters on the keys.
Ah… so this is a ‘fatal error’ huh. hmmmm
END works similar to Home. But like with the ESCAPE…. dont try it!
