Man in blue suspenders: Sure I've googled myself, not that it's any of your business...I mean, who hasn't? But that's not what it was called when I was a kid...
Caption: The too-much-information age.
For those who don’t understand German, the older guy has misunderstood the meaning of ‘googling oneself’. The rest is too rude to explain in detail - as in ‘way too much information.’
HerrB, there is an English word “ogle”, which serves certain similarities with the term “google”.
As for how we should understand what the old man says, I think the readers have to make their own choice between “self observation” and “masturbation”.
For Germanophiles only: I was once in a German restroom where someone had written “Keine Entspannung ohne Vereinigung!” This could be understood in the Cold War days of East and West Germany as “No reduction in tensions without unification!”, but its placement in a men’s room had another meaning you can figure out yourselves.
(BTW, I cannot look at TMI without first thinking of Three Mile Island. If you don’t remember that, you can go Google yourself.)
To Google, or NOT to Google - that is the question! Whether ‘tis nobler to abide the slings and arrows of hyperlinks, or to oppose them - and by opposing, END them!
this Wiley submittal is now in my top 5 of his ouevre. One of the funniest ever. Bravo! Huzzah! Ole! lärmender Speiẞer! hoe zeg je Hooray! !ﬢﬢꞋﬣ Kilohana, Maika’no!

He’s been playing solitare with Rosie Palm.
He’s gone blind as a result, and probably has grown hair in indecent locations :)
