Ordinary Basil Nudged from his slumber by a gentle rocking, Basil is still half asleep when he hears a familiar voice. "Time to get up, sleepyhead. You've got chore to do..." Sitting bolt upright, Basil finds himself back in his bedroom. Outside his window he can see it's still snowing, as usual. "Mommy?" he sputters. "How...what..." Basil's mind is spinning too fast to form a cohesive thought. "My," his mother says, calming him long enough to get his bearings, "you must have had quite a day yesterday!" "A day?" Basil gasps. "All that happened in just one day?" "All what, dear?" his mother asks in that half-interested manner grown-ups have when they're not really listening. But Basil presses on breathlessly, telling her about the professor and his flying ship...Helios, a city floating in the clouds...
