Apparently Trump’s latest rationale for leaving the Kurds to twist in the wind is “they didn’t help us during World War II”. Because hey, sure, you helped us out seven years ago, but you didn’t help us out seventy years ago, so to heck with you!

As North Korea had “committed” to becoming nuclear free. As China “committed” to meaningful trade negotiations. As Saudi Arabia “committed” to a full investigation of the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. We should be entering a global utopia when all these “commitments” are met. /s
